We have opened our Luxury Timepieces store in Kazakhstan

We've brought our Luxury Timepieces brand, featuring products from the world's most prestigious watch brands and unique jewelry collections, to our Kazakhstan operation. Located on the departures floor of Almaty Airport's International Terminal in a 123 square meter space, our store offers the most exclusive collections from watch brands like Maurice Lacroix, Frédérique Constant, Longines, Rado, and Tissot, as well as jewelry brands such as Tateossian, Roberto Bravo, and Bee Goddess. With a wide range of products adorned with gold and precious stones, we combine Swiss watchmaking and jewelry artistry to offer our visitors a special shopping experience.

We continue to grow with new brand collaborations in Kazakhstan

We are thrilled to announce that we have added Boss, one of the world's leading brands, to our portfolio in Kazakhstan. The new Boss store, which we opened in a 131-square-meter area on the departures floor of Almaty Airport's International Terminal, stands out with its architectural concept and spacious atmosphere. Our store offers a wide range of products across various categories, from classic, sportswear, and underwear to accessories. Additionally, the exclusive Boss x Porsche collaboration collection is also available for sale. As we continue to expand our operational strength on a global scale, we remain committed to adding a touch of luxury to the travel experience.

Bodrum teams had fun at Happy Day

We held our traditional Happy Day event in Bodrum this time. The events we organized at the Bodrum Golf Club on September 23-25 were once again full of fun and colorful moments. After dining amidst Bodrum's unique nature, our employees enjoyed themselves with a DJ performance. We also celebrated ATU's 25th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of our Bodrum operations by cutting a cake. 

We took our place at Riga Aviation Forum (RAF) 2025

Bringing together aviation leaders under the main theme of ‘Securing the Future of Baltic Aviation’ this year, the Riga Aviation Forum featured our CEO Ersan Arcan as one of the panelists. At the forum, where TAV Airports CEO Serkan Kaptan was among the opening speakers, Arcan joined the panel on “Global Airport Development Models” and shared his perspectives on developments in travel retail, new trends, and enhancing customer experience, while also providing insights into our operations at Riga Airport. TAV CCO and TAV OS CEO Aude Ferrand also spoke on the same panel. RAF 2025 was further attended by executives and teams from TAV group companies operating at Riga Airport.

We have opened the doors of our new Swarovski store at Almaty Airport, Kazakhstan

Located on the Departures level of the International Terminal, the Swarovski store stands out with a wide product range across different categories, from exclusive collections to the most popular items. Designed with the brand’s signature blue lighting and concept furniture, the 50-square-meter store features the Ariana Grande capsule collection, as well as highlight collections such as Gema, Constella, Dextera, Idyllia, and Millenia, along with popular pieces like the Matrix Tennis model. 

We have obtained a Customer Satisfaction Management System certificate

We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the ISO 10002:2018 Customer Satisfaction Management System certification. Following an audit by the independent and international audit platform TÜV Rheinland, we received this certificate for our HQ office and all domestic operations (Istanbul, Ankara, Bodrum, Gazipaşa, Antalya, Izmir Airports), integrated with our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. We have been certified as a result of our Management Systems and Sustainability and Customer Relations departments’ efforts to comply with international standards. Our certificate was presented in a ceremony by TÜV Rheinland Department Manager Özlem Dalyan and Sales Manager Murat Özen. 

Certificates were presented to the most successful employees in Ankara

Our Ankara operation presented appreciation certificates and gift cards to its most successful team members. A total of nine employees who achieved success in the top three positions in each of the highest sales, service, and cashier sales categories were presented with gifts and certificates. Our Ankara operation will continue to celebrate the top three successful employees in these categories every six months.

Ice cream surprise for our Izmir and Antalya teams

Our Izmir and Antalya teams brightened up the last days of summer with ice cream treats. The Izmir teams also enjoyed a pleasant time at the dinner they organized.

We experienced the excitement of EuroBasket 2025 in Riga

Our promo zone at Riga Airport has been revamped this year with the EuroBasket 2025 concept, transforming it into an official fan store. Throughout EuroBasket 2025, our pop-up store brought together all passengers and basketball fans with a wide range of official EuroBasket products, including the Latvian national team's basketball jerseys, clothing, bags, souvenirs, and magnets. 

We organized colorful activities at our stores at Riga Airport

We partnered with O’Byte, a local Latvian brand, to host a skateboarding event and free chips giveaway in our main store. Additionally, together with another Latvian local brand, Rudy’s Kombucha, our visitors had fun with the game machine we’ve set up at the entrance of our store. Guests who answer three questions about EuroBasket 2025, which is being held in Latvia this year, won a delicious kombucha. What’s more, this refreshing drink not only inspired a healthier lifestyle and active living, but also supported the dreams of young Latvian basketball players through donations to a local basketball school.

We have one more new international award

We have won the Bronze award in the “Best Talent Management Strategy” category at the Brandon Hall HCM Excellence Awards.

Through our three-phase talent management strategy — “Get Ready: Assessment & Development Center Prep Series,” “Internal Assessment & Development Center,” and “Happy Journey” — we supported our employees’ development journey with a transparent, fair, and competency-based system. In doing so, we not only enhanced success in internal promotion processes but also strengthened employee engagement and achieved significant outcomes. This award, once again demonstrating our belief in continuous growth, is a strong reflection of our learning culture. 

We’ve expanded our operations at Antalya Airport

As ATU Duty Free, we’ve added five more stores to our Antalya operation, which began with the main duty-free store, Luxury Square, and Old Bazaar on the departures floor of the T2 International Terminal, and two stores in the arrival floor. We have started operating in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 with our duty-free stores in the arrival and departure floors, as well as our bus-gate store. Additionally, at International Terminal 1 Departure Floor, we have opened our Old Bazaar store (100 m²) and a brand-new Duty Free store (47 m²). At International Terminal 2 Departure Floor, our Comfort Lounge store (29 m²) has also started welcoming guests. With these openings, we have added three more locations to the five new stores. From local products to special promotions, and a wide variety of categories, we now offer Antalya passengers an even richer shopping experience.

We opened our new wine store in Tunisia

Our new wine boutique opened on the departure floor of Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport, showcasing a special collection of exclusive Tunisian wines. 

Our Tunisia team celebrated National Women’s Day

In Tunisia, as part of this special day, which is joyfully celebrated every year on August 13 as the anniversary of the rights granted to women in 1956, flowers and chocolate were gifted to our women employees.

Support for Children from ATU Riga!

Thanks to the donation boxes in our ATU Duty Free stores at RIX Riga Airport, we have been working together with RMHC Latvija (Ronald McDonald House Charities Latvia) to provide free healthcare services to children across Latvia. Over the last 3 months, we have collected 1,200 EUR with the contributions of our store customers. These donations support RMHC Latvija’s mission of “bringing healthcare as close as possible to every child in need.”

Happy Day excitement in Gazipaşa

Gazipaşa team organized a rafting activity in Manavgat Köprülü Canyon as part of ATU Happy Day. The employees had an adventurous time rafting all day long and finished the day with a dinner. In addition, seniority plaques were presented to Hakan Yıldırım, Ankara-Gazipaşa Operations Director, and Sadık Acar, Assistant Team Leader in Gazipaşa, who completed their 20th year of service at ATU. 

We’ve launched the M&M’S®️ experience shop-in-shop in Antalya

We’ve opened M&M’S first experience concept shop-in-shop in travel retail at our main duty-free store in the departures area of the International Terminal at Antalya Airport. Following the opening ceremony, which was attended by executives from ATU, Gebr. Heinemann, and Mars Wrigley ITR, the colorful M&M’S stand attracted great interest from travelers. This vibrant stand in our store offers our guests many surprises, from personalized gift options and fun games to a limited-edition M&M’S x Kate Spade collection and a colorful M&M’S wall. We’ve been working to provide visitors with an unforgettable shopping experience in our Antalya operation. 

We had an inspiring day at our Riga store with the book “Your Skin Story” and a training session

We hosted Ieva Ivanova and Anna Bērziņa, the authors of “TAVS ĀDAS STĀSTS” (Your Skin Story), at our store on July 23rd. While introducing their new book, the authors held a special training session for our Perfume & Cosmetics sales team. Through this training, the authors provided our Riga team with essential tips on skincare and the best advice to give to travelers before their flights.

Our North Macedonia team fully embraced the spirit of teamwork, energy, and togetherness during their Happy Day event

The day kicked off with an adrenaline-filled shooting activity, carried out under the guidance of professionals and in line with strict safety rules. Afterwards, the team gathered at Kamnik Restaurant for a delightful lunch, sharing the excitement and joy of the day. Another unforgettable day wrapped in the Happy Day spirit that brings ATU people together.

Our Riga team came together for a summer party

Nearly 100 team members joined the event themed “I Love ATU.” They enjoyed a wonderful day filled with delicious treats, fun team games, and lots of laughter. Six teams competed, and the winning team received a special gift basket filled with products from our stores. With music and cocktails inspired by our store locations, we recharged the energy for the summer.

We Supported Children at the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Charity Picnic in Riga

Through our Riga operation, we were delighted to support children in Latvia at the traditional Independence Day Picnic organized by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham). At this enjoyable event, attended by approximately a thousand people, we contributed with special gifts to the charity raffle. This helped in raising €4900 for important organizations such as the Children's Hospital Foundation and SOS Children’s Villages. As ATU, we are proud to contribute to these meaningful efforts dedicated to the health and well-being of children in Latvia.
