Can you introduce yourself? What is your name and surname? Hello, my name is Derya Imer. What is your role at ATU Duty Free and what do you do in this role? I work as a Sales and Payment Consultant at ATU Duty Free. My responsibilities include providing customer service, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for travelers. I am glad to introduce myself and I look forward to working with you. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? If I could live anywhere in the world, I would choose a city by the sea, maybe Barcelona. I enjoy places that combine culture, good weather, and a relaxed lifestyle, and also somewhere that combines career opportunities with a good quality of life, for example a European capital city. Is there a characteristic you would like to change about yourself? Why? A characteristic I would like to change is that I can be a bit perfectionist at times. I would like to improve my time management skills. I sometimes spend too much time on small details. What is your favorite feature of yourself that you are most proud of? My favorite feature is my reliability colleagues and customers know they can count on me, and also i think that i have communication skills and empathy which leads to better sales and recommendations. What is your greatest fear in life? My biggest fear in life is losing my loved ones. That’s my biggest fear but if we talk about generally not growing personally or professionally. That’s why I continuously seek feedback and learning opportunities. Is there a talent you wish you had? A talent I wish I had is public speaking. Being more confident in front of larger groups would help me in presentations and team meetings. Who is your favorite historical hero, from the past or present? My historical hero is the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk because of his leadership, vision, and dedication to his country. What qualities do you most value in a friend? I most value reliability and empathy in a friend, someone who listens, supports, and can be trusted. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why? I would like to improve is my time management. I’m working on prioritizing tasks more efficiently and also to be more patient in a stressful situations. What is your favorite activity to do in your free time? I enjoy spending time with my fiancé friends and family. What is your biggest regret in life? My biggest regret is hesitating to take on challenging tasks in the past, but I’ve learned to be more confident in seizing opportunities. Can you share with us the place and time where you felt the happiest? It is not just this one but if i would choose one it will be my proposal day it was in a Greek island on 07.07.2025. Do you have a slogan or motto that has motivated you throughout your life? My motto is always strive to do your best and I’m motivated by seeing learn from every experience it encourages me to grow and improve continuously.
