Our Izmir operation achieved the best sales success in its history

Our Izmir operation achieved its best sales success to date with its performance in 2023. Izmir employees received certificates of appreciation and gifts for the best sales season achievement.
ATU Izmir celebrated the New Year together

Our Izmir operation celebrated the New Year at Mumlu Meyhane. Our employees came together for dinner and had a pleasant time with music and dancing.
ATU HQ team had fun at a bingo raffle with surprise prizes

In the last days of the year as we prepared to welcome the new year, we experienced the excitement of the New Year together with the digital bingo game. In the bingo raffle, which was colored with punch and popcorn treats, Yasin Pala, who made the first bingo, and Deniz Karabacak, who made the second and final bingo, won surprise prizes. We wish 2024 to bring luck to all our colleagues.
Our Bodrum operation came together with tourism students

Our Bodrum operation met with the 4th grade students of the Department of Tourism Management at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Tourism. Osman Berk Sancar, Bodrum-Dalaman Operations Director, was the guest of the Airport Management course and explained the business processes of ATU Duty Free to the students. In addition, Yasemin Caner, Bodrum-Dalaman-Gazipaşa Operations Human Resources Supervisor, gave information about human resources processes, followed by Irmak Kahveci, Training and Development Coordinator, who gave information about the competencies required in retailing and the features to be sought in the sector in the future.


ATU Georgia team organized a New Year's Eve event

Our Georgian operation celebrated the New Year at a party organized at Wyndham Grand Hotel in Tbilisi. ATU executives and Georgia employees attended the New Year's Eve party, where the region's famous artist Lela Tsurtsumia also performed and attracted the attention of the guests. At the end of the night, the 2024 cake was cut with New Year wishes.


Istanbul operation employees celebrated the New Year with two organizations

We celebrated the New Year with the participation of our operation at Istanbul Airport on two separate days at Momo Bebeköy. Celebrating the new year with excitement, ATU Istanbul operation employees enjoyed the unique view of the Bosphorus, with an unforgettable ambiance and a DJ performance. The event also included a New Year's raffle, where lucky numbers were given surprise prizes. At the end of the night, a cake was cut by ATU Executives.


ATU Riga gathered at New Year's Eve party

ATU Riga teams celebrated New Year with a Christmas gala dinner at the National Library of Latvia. Riga employees enjoyed live music and DJ performances and won surprise prizes by competing in quiz competition. Animation shows and colourful activities were held during the night, and the employees who performed the best throughout the season were also awarded with certificates and gifts. New Year's cake was cut at the end of the gala dinner.


Tasting days were organized for Old Bazaar's new Turkish delight and baklava varieties

Over 500 ATU and TAV group employees tried different categories of Turkish delight and baklava in the four days of the tasting days that started on November 28. During the tasting days, where 5 different products from each category were tried, participants rated the products according to their appearance, structure and taste.


We visited our ancestor in Anıtkabir

ATU employees took part in the traditional annual trip to Anıtkabir with the participation of employees from TAV and its affiliated companies. The trip, which was attended by nearly 50 employees from all our operations in Turkiye, started with breakfast upon arrival in Ankara. Following a guided visit to the First and Second Parliament, the group attended the military ceremony at Anıtkabir, laid a wreath at the mausoleum and observed a moment of silence. After TAV Airports CEO Serkan Kaptan, signed the Anıtkabir Honor Book and read the message of the visit to the participants at the oratory, the tour program was completed by departing to the regions by buses. Approximately 600 people from TAV Group, including ATU Duty Free, participated in the visit to Anıtkabir.
ATU Gazipasa team celebrates its success at season ending dinner

Gazipaşa team came together at the dinner they organised to celebrate the end of the successful season and to relieve stress.
We took our place at the Performance, Compensation and Reward Management Summit

Management Systems and Sustainability Director Murat Şen attended the Performance, Wage and Reward Management Summit organized by HR Magazine on November 7-8 as a speaker. Murat Şen, who made a presentation on the topic of the Effects of Sustainability Business Model on Performance in Companies, also shared information about sustainability practices and studies at ATU Duty Free. There was a great interest to the summit from the various companies.
ATU Duty Free receives ETIKA 2022 award

We were awarded the ETİKA 2022 Turkey Ethics Award, which is traditionally given every year by the Ethical Values Center Association (EDMER). The Most Ethical Company Award was presented to Risk, Internal Control, Ethics and Compliance Director Özlem Kalyoncu, Risk, Internal Control, Ethics and Compliance Coordinator Fulya İlengiz, and Risk Management and Internal Control Assistant Manager Tarık Kadirağagil received the award. The compliance of the participating companies with the ethical practices required according to international ethical standards in different categories such as Ethical Values, Reputation Management was evaluated. 22 companies that received more than 70 points out of 100 were deemed worthy of the ETİKA 2022 Türkiye Ethics Award.
ATU Running Team ran in the 45th Istanbul Marathon

As TAV Group companies, we participated in the marathon to support the Educational Volunteers Foundation of Türkiye’s (TEGV) "A child changes, Türkiye develops" project.
We organised Culture Suitcase trip with the children of ATU employees

Our Culture Suitcase Trip, which we organised to introduce our cultural richness to our children and to enable them to learn history and archaeology with fun, was enjoyed by our children aged between 5 and 12 and their families. Our ATU children visited Dolmabahçe Palace as part of the visit programme and spent a fun day learning about our historical richness with the workshops they attended at the end of the programme. Children who played games in the painting workshop were given a Culture Suitcase certificate.
Our Michael Kors store was named the store with the best visual organization

Our Michael Kors store, which we operate in Istanbul Airport Zone 6, was selected as the store with the best visual presentation in the 'Visual Merchandising Competition' organized by the brand among its travel retail stores around the world. Our Michael Kors store, whose visual design was realized by Kerim Pehlivan and Zülfikar Şahin from the visual merchandising team, was deemed worthy of the first place among the brand's stores operating in travel retail on a global scale. Our store at Istanbul Airport, which outperformed the other finalists at Prague, Amsterdam and Muscat Airports, was determined by the online votes of over 70 participants.
We celebrated the 100th anniversary of our Republic with enthusiasm

On the 100th anniversary of the Republic Day, workspaces and valley offices in all our operations were decorated in the spirit of the 100th anniversary. In addition to flags, badges and 100th anniversary table posters that will remain as a souvenir of this meaningful day, we experienced the enthusiasm of the Republic together in our valley offices with a three-dimensional visual design symbolizing our anchestor and our moon-starred flag.
We started offering a new partial delivery option in our Latvia operation

At our operation at Riga Airport, in cooperation with Omniva, Latvia's local distribution company, we offer our customers the opportunity to receive their purchases from the pick-up point closest to their homes. Launched on October 4 and available to Baltic passengers traveling to European Union destinations, the service allows our customers to send the products they have purchased during their travels to their preferred pick-up point in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, and get them from that point in up to one week. This new partial delivery option, which we have launched as part of our Shop & Collect service, is the first of its kind in our field in Latvia, as well as a convenience for travelers to shop without limitations.
We met with students and recent graduates at WelcomeFast 2023

We took part in Bilgi University WelcomeFast 2023 with our booth and met with students and new graduates. At the event, which was held at the Santral Istanbul Campus and attended by more than 65 companies from different sectors, we shared details about our young talent program to the new graduates and students. ATU Duty Free booth attracted great interest at the event, where we provided information about our services and the sector, as well as interview simulations and tips on recruitment process.
Our Izmir operation participated in the Career Fair

Our ATU Izmir operation participated in the "Career Fair Izmir 23" event organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. ATU Izmir team came together with young students at the career fair organized at Alsancak Historical Air Gas Factory Youth Campus and attended by Izmir Institute of Technology, Izmir Bakırçay University, University of Health Sciences, Izmir Kavram Vocational School, Yaşar University, Izmir Tınaztepe University and Turkish Aeronautical Association University.
