Can you introduce yourself? What is your name and surname? My name is Deniz Sönmez. I have been working for the ATÜ Duty Free family for 13 years. What is your role at ATU Duty Free and what do you do in this role? I work as an Administrative Affairs Specialist. I fulfill all the responsibilities in my job description with dedication, while continuously striving to improve myself. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? I would love to live in Switzerland because of its high standard of living. Is there a characteristic you would like to change about yourself? Why? There isn't any trait I'd like to change about myself. What is your favorite feature of yourself that you are most proud of? What matters to me is not just doing what is expected of me, but doing the right thing, even when it's difficult, and being a person who keeps their word. Thanks to this, I have been able to build strong, trusting relationships throughout my career, and I believe that this is one of my greatest strengths. What is your greatest fear in life? Losing my loved ones. Is there a talent you wish you had? I would love to be able to read minds, to sense what the person in front of me is thinking. Who is your favorite historical hero, from the past or present? MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK. He is a great historical hero who led the Turkish nation's struggle for independence. Thanks to his courage, foresight, and leadership, he gave the Turkish nation an independent and modern state. What qualities do you most value in a friend? Empathy, honesty, energy, good communication. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why? I'm very happy with who I am, and I wouldn't want to change anything. Whether good or bad, every experience I've had has made me who I am today. What is your favorite activity to do in your free time? Hiking in nature, discovering its beauty, and having picnics. What is your biggest regret in life? I don't have any regrets. Can you share with us the place and time where you felt the happiest? When I'm with my family. Do you have a slogan or motto that has motivated you throughout your life? A boxer loses not when he falls down, but when he fails to get back up.
