Gazipaşa Operation’s Support to Animal Shelter
Our wooden pallets, which are not used for shipment of products to our Gazipaşa store, were donated to the animal shelter within Gazipaşa Municipality.
Winners of Cash Sales Activity are determined
The first winner of the Cash Register Sales Activity which was launched this year among the sales teams of the Gazipaşa operation, was the 1st Group Sales Team and the second winner of the activity was the 2nd Group. The winning teams were presented their prizes at the end of a pleasant breakfast organization on Dim Stream.
Koruncuk Surfing Festival Sponsored by ATU
The 4th Koruncuk Surfing Festival, organized to the benefit of Koruncukköy Urla, took place on August 17th-18th at Çağla Kubat Windsurf Academy Alaçatı with the main sponsorship of ATU.
Our passengers sent off with gifts during Eid
As part of Eid activities, Karagöz and Hacivat puppets were distributed Eid and Hodja Nasreddin and Keloğlan puzzles were distributed during Eid-al-Adha to the passengers at our Old Bazaar stores in Istanbul in order to keep the Turkish culture alive.
We Celebrate the Father’s Day
As part of Father’s Day activities, a tie was distributed to the fathers working in our domestic operations. With the ties we distributed, we supported the Minik Kalplerle El Ele (Mika-Der) Derneği (Association of Hand-in-Hand with Tiny Hearts).
Training Sessions Go on Full-speed
Orientation training organized by Education Development Management Systems Coordination department for newly recruited members of ATU family goes on full-speed at Istanbul Training Hall. Training consists of giving information about ATU’s foundation as well as our organization structure, company policy and procedures, employees’ personal rights, work responsibilities, rules and regulations. A total of 17 Corporate Orientation training sessions were provided as of June and 136 employees participated in the training. The 2-day training consists of Corporate Orientation Presentation, Loss Prevention Training, Basic H&S, Health & Safety Training, Store Customs Rules Training, Retail Training, Basic Cash Register-Basic Cash Training and Service Ceremony.
The Champion of Bowling is determined
“Düşmanın Değilim Yeter” team is the champion of ATÜ Bowling Tournament organized among ATÜ employees. 16 teams and 80 employees participated in the tournament which was played in the Bowling hall in Vadistanbul Shopping Mall. At the end of the first qualifying round, the final 10 teams won to play the final challenge. “Düşmanın Değilim Yeter” team is the champion of ATÜ Bowling Tournament with 570 points at the end of the final competitions. With 424 points, “Evli ve Çocuklu” team came in second and “Alfa Team” came in third. After the tournament, cups and medals were presented to the teams by Zeynep Kaptan who is ATU Deputy General Manager -Corporate Communications and Marketing Communications.

The busiest months of our Izmir operation, July and August, just got better with ice-cream service on Saturdays.
Foosball Fun
ATU Izmir team play foosball with a fierce competition on the foosball table in the office to entertain themselves in their leisure time and let off steam.
We Broke a Sales Record
ATU Izmir broke Izmir operation’s sales record in August with € 5.6 million worth of sales. Special ‘August 2019’ certificates have been given to all the members of the administrative and operational team after the sales for their contribution in this success.
Exemplary behaviour from Atu Macedonia
Within the scope of social responsibility project, ATÜ Macedonia employees collaborated with Retvit Meal, a civil society organization that helps homeless people living in Skopje. Food support was given to the needy people within the framework of the cooperation, 600 meals were provided in the project so far.

Our direct sales from Ohrid St.Paul The Apostle Airport to many destinations in Europe and Asia have been expanded and renewed. We would like to congratulate our sales team for their support in this regard while increasing P&C sales by 265% over the previous year.

Summer Welcome Party from Riga
ATU Riga organized a “Summer Welcome Party” with the participation of 106 employees. In the event organized to boost motivation inside the company, employees had a great time with music, food and yoga as well as other various activities.
ATU collaborates with famous tennis player Ostapenko for ”Shop & Collect” service
Famous Latvian tennis player Yelena (Alona) Ostapenko and ATÜ Riga Operation collaborated for ‘’Shop & Collect’’ service. As a result of this cooperation, Ostapenko experienced “Shop & Collect” service.
This service offers some shopping opportunities to the customers who travel to EU member countries, in the shops operated by ATÜ at Riga Airport.
Within the scope of the service offered with the motto ‘’Don’t carry anything extra with you while travelling”, customers who will travel to EU member countries can leave the products they bought at ATÜ shops and take again in their return.
We took our place in Color Sky 5K
With our team of 25 colleagues from ATU Ankara Operation participated in the Colorful Running Festival known as Color Sky 5K in many countries around the world. People from 7 to 70 of all ages participated in the event, while the participants had a pleasant time accompanied by DJs, they participated with the slogan "Color for Nature" in the race.
We took our place at the 9th Human Management Summit
ATU Human Resources Training, Development and Management Systems Coordinator Ali Murat Şen participated as a speaker within the scope of “9th Human Management Summit” held in Gaziantep organized by Peryön. At the panel titled “The Contribution of Human Resources to Institutionalization”, Ali Murat Şen expressed his point of views on what institutionalization is, effects of human resources on institutionalization, digital HR studies, intellectual fund and investments made for these funds.
Our Bvlgari Store Opening Ceremony was presented
As ATU Duty Free we opened the Bvlgari store which we operate at Istanbul Airport. After the ribbon cutting, ATU Duty Free CEO Ersan Arcan, Purchasing Director Watches & Jewellery at Gebr. Heinemann. Olaf Benjamin, Bvlgari Europe Managing Director Vincenzo Pujia, Governor of Istanbul Airport Ahmet Önal made short speeches.
