Dear ATU Family,

I wish you all a happy autumn. As you know, ATU has always kept the customers and colleagues in the focus of work and we will continue to do so. ATU values; sense of responsibility, respect for differences, continuous improvement, innovation, cooperation and solidarity, the spirit of struggle and excellent service are the main elements of your support to integrate our business processes. Adopting these values is an important responsibility for our company and for ourselves. We know that we offer excellent service to our customers with the motto and vision of “Travel Happy” that we created in 2016. Now, with the motto and vision of “Happy Culture”, we will continue to work with all our strength to ensure the continuity of the work environment in which our colleagues are happily integrated and delighted.

As Henry Ford stated; “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success ”. Human Resources is a multi-disciplinary, team-based department that you should call as “we” instead of “I”. In this area there is no place for discrimination, ego and selfcentredness. That is why we strive to create a globally-minded, locally-acting company culture that complies with the cultural values there by understanding each geography in which we operate. In our business, “team spirit” is critically important. One of the most important features for people representing an organization is to be able to demonstrate results and solution-oriented attitudes towards challenges. With these features that we possess, we can positively affect all our business processes, overcome the ongoing problems, and fulfill our responsibilities under all circumstances.

The closing of Atatürk Airport was such a process that the winds of change were blowing. After Atatürk Airport, a different period began in the life of ATU. The arduous days are behind. We continue our fast pace with new blood coming to ATU with our two Old Bazaar stores and world famous brands boutiques at Istanbul New Airport.

Besides, the summer season was very successfull for all our operations. I sincerely congratulate all our friends who contributed.

Our magazine, which shortens the distances between us a little, brings us together with the news and agendas in it and connects each other; I am excited to publish HR Mirror again after a long break. We have made some changes in the content of our magazine. First of all, we tried to give more space to “Portrait” and “Departmental Introductions” to get to know you better. I will try to give a brief summary of the developments in ATU in the “Agenda” section in the quarterly magazine. We hope you will like the brandnew HR Mirror. Of course, we expect your suggestions for the new issues.
