Bodrum Operation Celebrated its 4th Year
We celebrated the 4th year of our ATU Bodrum Operation with our employees. During the celebrations, plaque and certificate were given to our employees who made a difference in front of the cash point sales, and the cake was cut at the end of the ceremony with the participation of the whole operation team.

ATU celebrated the New Year of the Georgia Operation employees by presenting surprise gifts.
Our Georgia Team Attends Chanel Training
ATU Georgia team was trained by Chanel brand trainer Gulnigor Vishnevskaya
in November. In the Holiday Inn Hotel, 13 employees participated in the training and information about the new products and existing products of Chanel brand were given.

Atü Duty Free is bringing passengers together with its new multi-brand concept "Luxury Square", where it gathers luxurious brands together. Our Team Leaders Attended Luxury Service Ceremony Training
Our Team Leaders in Istanbul Boutiques Operations, received “Luxury Service Ceremony’’ training given by Myriam Vallelian who is an expert in Customer Experience and Luxury Attitude. The training, which is organized to increase our guest's shopping experience to the perfect level, took 2 days. Together with the Team Leaders, the Human Resources team and executives from the Istanbul Boutiques Directorate also participated in the training.
Creating a Happy Culture and Coaching Trainings Completed.
Our Boutique Managers in the Istanbul Boutiques Operation attended the training given by Myriam Vallelian who is an expert in Customer Experience and Luxury Attitude. The training which Creating Happy Culture and Coaching lasted for 2 days. Human Resources team and executives from the Istanbul Boutiques Directorate also participated in the training. Our Boutique Managers received the first module in Paris and the second module in Istanbul in recent weeks.
Significant Support from ATU Running Team to Darüşşafaka
Within the scope of 41st Istanbul Marathon, the ATU running team ran with the TAV Group to support the Darüşşafaka Society. We participated in the campaign with our 22 employees in order to contribute to the project called “If the matter is education, we will lend a hand to Darüşşafaka” and to raise awareness of this project. At the end of the project, a total of 71.475 TL was donated as TAV Group.
We took our place in Retail Days
Retail Days, the biggest gathering of retail and bring the whole sector together since 2001, was took place on December 4-5, 2019 at Istanbul Haliç Congress Center. At the event, Retail Sun Awards ceremony, ATU Duty Free, Chief Business Support Officer Pınar Şener Harput made a speech and presented the “ATU Significant Contribution to Retail, Most Successful Professional Executive” award to the this years winner Gizia Gate İsmail Kutlu who is founder and owner of the company.

ATU Human Resources Training, Development and Management Systems Coordinator Ali Murat Şen attended the “1st Human Management Summit organized by Peryön Akdeniz in Antalya. At the summit, Ali Murat Şen expressed his views on the issues of Digitalization of Human Resources, Digital and Online Training - Development Processes, Online Recruitment, Online Performance Planning, Digitalization of Talent Programs, Online Tracking of Training Efficiency and the development of Artificial Intelligence.

We shared our experiences at Travel Summit 2019.
ATU Chief Strategy Officer Ahmet Kötehne, participated as a speaker “Uzakrota Travel Summit 2019”, one of the biggest conference about “Place of Payment Systems in Travel Sector”. The event was organized on 13th December in Istanbul Hilton Bosphorus. Ahmet Kötehne, shared the story of ATU’s 20 years experience in travel retail. Kötehne, reviewed shopping habits and passenger profiles that changed over the years, and informed about the works they have done to increase the interest and make more attractive for Chinese passengers in ATU’s new stores at Istanbul Airport.
Foreign Language Trainings Continues
After our Istanbul Operation, English trainings also started for our colleagues in Izmir and Bodrum operations. Under the leadership of Goncagül Ağca, the Foreign Language Development Leader, 45 people have been trained in İstanbul Operation and ATU Head Office from July to December 2019. In two groups of trainings, each group receives approximately 15 hours of training per month and each level lasts for about 5 months. The new training period of our English Courses starts in January 2020…
We Met Together in New Year Celebrations.
We celebrated the New Year with the participation of our colleagues at Istanbul Airport. While our operation teams came together at Göktürk Richess Restaurant on 2 different days, our colleagues working at the holding participated in the celebration of the New Year at Radisson Blu Hotel. Our operations in İzmir, Ankara and Riga celebrated the New Year in their own organizations.

Our Bulgari Store at Istanbul Airport has been granted the "Best New Jewellry Store" award in DFNI 2019 Best Product Awards; and our Luxury Timepieces concept store has been named "highly recommended" in DFNI's "Best New Watches Store" category.
We Protect Personal Data!
Personal data has to be stored to benefit from many advantages of technologies in our lives and the same data should also be kept safe in order to prevent these from being shared with others. Personal data consists of all kind of information belonging to a person whose identity is known or identifiable. All information that directly or indirectly identifies us constitutes personal data. Our identity, contact information, health, genetic or biometric data, our habits, our preferences… These are all our personal data. The law enforces certain disciplines and procedures for sharing these. While various works are continuing across the world in this subject, Agency for Protection of Personal Data founded simultaneously in Turkey with the purpose of informing everyone about the relevant legal process continues its works (www.kvkk.gov.tr). Law Regarding Protection of Personal Data passed, published in Official Gazette on April 7th, 2016 and went into effect. Personal data cannot be processed without consent and cannot be shared randomly. Certain conditions have to be met in processing personal data. First of all, there must be a reason for collecting and storing these data. It is obligatory to inform the relevant person(s) when processing or sharing personal data. I want to inform you in detail under the following conceptual titles;
What is Personal Data?
Personal data consists of all kind of information belonging to a natural person whose identity is known or identifiable. Identity, contact information, family, education, occupation, financial, payment, insurance, user profiles, visuals, employee, performance, professional, career-development, personality analyses, etc.
What is Sensitive Personal Data?
Sensitive personal data consists of persons’ race, ethnic origin, political opinion, philosophical beliefs, religion, sect or other beliefs, appearance, membership to foundations, associations or unions, health, sexual life, criminal record and data related to safety measures as well as biometric and genetic information (KVKK clause 6/1).
What is the Main Purpose of Protecting Personal Data? What is KVKK’s purpose? • Respect for the right of privacy and confidentiality of personal lives of persons,
• Protection of personal data belonging to people,
• In line with this purpose, determining obligations of the parties who collect, process and store personal data and identifying procedures and principles of personal data processing. Each employer is responsible of data against their employees because the employer processes personal data of their employees, including sensitive ones, starting from before the employment relation (from applicant phase), during the employment relation and even after employment has ended.
What Does Processing Personal Data Mean?
It refers to all kinds of operation conducted with the data such as obtaining personal data in full or in part through automated or not automated means, recording, storing, retaining, changing, rearranging, disclosing, transferring and classifying these.
At ATÜ, data of all our employees are carefully and safely stored, having informed them beforehand in scope of the legal process as per KVKK.

Award Winning Employees Announced
Our employees who work in ATU Old Bazaar and Boutique Stores, received their awards for their achievements during the year. Awards are given in ‘’Customer Appreciation’’, ‘’Highest Sales on a single receipt’’, ‘’Employees who get the thumbs up from the Shadow Customer activity’’, ‘’Millionaires Club’’, ‘’Employees who make the highest item sales volume’’, ‘’Employees who makes the highest sales volume in incentive sales’’, ‘’Employees who makes the highest brand-based revenue and item sales’’ categories. Certificates and gift vouchers were presented to winner employees by their executives.
Trainer’s Training Program Took Place
Our Corporate Executive Coach and Trainer Başak Üstünkaya gave a training called “Trainer’s Training Program” to our colleagues working at ATU and TAV Operation Services. The program held in Vadistanbul, while giving information about being a trainer and giving trainings, the participants received an efficient and fruitful training with internal trainers.
Macedonia Continues Social Responsibility Projects
ATU Macedonia operation employees supported two different social responsibility projects. In the leadership of Marija Tasevska, with the support of ATÜ employees, the first project carried out was to provide food, clothes, toys, baby beds and diapers to a mother and her 2.5-year-old child. In the other project, a 56-year-old woman with a physical disability was provided with food and clothing. In recent months, our employees collaborated with the civil society organization Retvit Meal to provide food support to homeless citizens living in Skopje.
ATU Celebrates Hajj Season in Medina
ATU Medina operation came together to celebrate their efforts during the Hajj season. Plaque and surprise gifts were given to our staff who made the most sales. The event organized in two sessions during the Hajj season. At the end of the organization, the cake was cut with the participation of the whole team.
The Winner of The Pumpkin Deco Contest is Announced.
Oskars Upenieks and Ms. Levkāne’in's team won “The Pumpkin Deco Contest". The contest was organized by ATU Riga Operation employees . At the end of the competition, the prize was presented to the winning team. Congratulations to all teams participating in the competition.
ATU Riga, Embassy of Turkey Joins with Partners in the Project.
ATU Riga operation, together with the Turkish Embassy, participated in the 23rd IWCR Charity Bazaar (International women’s group supporting local charitable organizations) in Riga. The embassies of the countries that opened a stand in Kermess sold products specific to their own country. ATU Riga operation supported the organization by selling 500 pieces of products within the scope of the event.
ATU Riga Celebrated New Year
New Year's Party was held at Kempinski Hotel with the participation of ATU Riga employees. 155 employees participated in the event, as well as various activities were held in the draw. In addition, the cake was cut with the participation of the whole team.
Football Tournament Ended in ATU Tunis Operation
A football tournament was organized among the ATU employees working at Tunis Carthage Airport. After the tournament, organized to increase motivation among our employees, a cup was presented to the winning team.
Education Support from Luxury Brands
Our employees at the Tunis Carthage Airport were given trainings about the brand by the instructors of some brands we sold. During the trainings organized in November, the trainers of Hermes, Lindt, Coty Prestige and Edrington Group of Scottish liquor producers informed our employees about both new product groups and existing products.

ATU Tunisia employees of the year was announced. Asma Hammali, Naceur Ben Ammar, Mariem Salah, Nader Labyadh, Amin Fejjari and Asma Mbarek from the sales team congratulate themselves on their success.
