Man's Search for Meaning

The psychiatrist Viktor E. Frankl, who lived between 1905 and 1977, wrote a cult literature book- “Man's Search for Meaning”. Starting from his own experiences in the Nazi Concentration Camp during the World War II, he lets us to question about the reasons for being committed to a goal worthy of effort and being able to say YES to live in every situation that can be described as negative and even tragic.

Many books have been written and films have been shot about the experiences of Nazi Concentration Camps. The reason why this book has a different place between what I read and what I watched is; because I have found valuable clues to the answers to what I have questioned to myself during a difficult life experience that I have experienced and questioned the meaning of existence by suffering and sometimes rebelling.

The book is in the form of an unfolding statement as the famous philosopher Nietzsche said, “A person who has a REASON to live can withstand any HOW.”

The Legendary Album of Jazz History, Kind of Blue...

There are some albums that have influenced both the period and the history of music. Here is the famous American trumpet player, jazz genius Miles Davis's 1959 legend album Kind of Blue. The album was released on 17 August 1959 and was published by Columbia Company. In the recording, Davis is accompanied by six valuable musicians. Bill Evans on the piano, Jimmy Cobb on the drums, Paul Chambers on the contrabass, John Coltrane on the saxophones and Cannonball Adderley. In a song, Wynton Kelly leads the piano.

After the release of the album, he received positive reviews from music historians and jazz critics, becoming not only Miles Davis's best-selling jazz album of all time. It has had a significant impact on the world of music and directly influenced even different styles of music. In his previous album, Milestones, the modal jazz structure of the Kind of Blue, which he gave his signals to, appeared in full sense. With this album, Davis has transformed his style from Hard Bop to Modal Jazz. The album was recorded and protected by the American Library of Congress as the best album in the history of jazz music.
