We became Unicef's 'Golden Wing' supporters
We are proud to be the 'Golden Wing' supporter of UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), which works for disadvantaged children in the world and in our country to achieve their inherenet rights. Within the scope of the contract we signed with the UNICEF Turkish National Committee, we will contribute to the programs that UNICEF will implement in the world and in Turkey in order to realize the rights in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.


We opened the new Bvlgari pop up store at Istanbul Airport
We opened the second store of Bvlgari, one of the distinguished brands in our portfolio, at Istanbul Airport. The new Bvlgari store with a pop up store concept is located in Zone 6 on an area of 94 square meters. The store has a wide range of products from jewelry to bags.


Our Riga operation participated in the career festival
Riga teams met with students and future professionals at the Vancancy Festival. At the festival held in Vermanes Garden and attended by approximately 40 companies from various sectors, ATU Riga stand attracted great attention. Riga teams gave information about ATU and the industry to the stand visitors.


Riga delivered gifts to the little ones at the Children's Hospital this year too
Our Riga operation sent gifts consisting of toys to the Children's Hospital in order to make the children struggling with health problems happy this year too.


Our Ankara operation organized Happy Day events
ATU Happy Day events were organized with the participation of our Ankara operation teams. In the organizations held on 1 and 7 September, our Ankara employees spent pleasant moments with games and competitions.


We Expanded Our Batumi Main Store
The first phase of the expansion project of our main duty free store at Batumi Airport has been completed. The cash register location of our main store, which was expanded to a total of 252 square meters by enlarging another 50 square meters with the commercial area and offices, was opened for the passengers.
Bodrum Golf Tournament Brings Golf Lovers Together Under ATU Duty Free Sponsorship
Bodrum Golf Tournament was held on 27-28 August under the sponsorship of ATU Duty Free. Among the golfers who competed in the tournament for two days, Hüseyin Demirağ won the championship cup. While plaques were presented to the winners in all categories, the champion of the tournament was given a gift card from our Old Bazaar store. Our CEO, Ersan Arcan, as well as golfers and many distinguished guests attended the awards night, which was held with live music after the tournament.
Our Operation Teams were Served Ashura Due to the Month of Muharram
Due to the month of Muharram, which is the symbol of abundance, sharing, unity and solidarity, ashura was distributed to Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bodrum and Gazipaşa operation teams and Vadistanbul employees.
Our Bodrum Operation had the Best Turnover
Our Bodrum operation distributed a certificate of appreciation to all its employees to celebrate its highest turnover success to date.
We Added Cartier Brand to Our Portfolio
Our Cartier store, added to our portfolio, was opened at Istanbul Airport with the participation of our operations teams. Located in the Bosphorus Zone on the Departures Floor of the International Terminal, the store, where products such as accessories and watches, also stands out with its environmentally friendly architectural features.
ATU; has proven worthy of being recognized to be a “Great Place to Work Certified” company by meeting the workplace criteria with a high trust culture in the program held by Great Place to Work Turkey, in which employees' experiences about corporate culture are evaluated.
We Renewed Our Operation Period at Georgia's Kutaisi Airport Until 2029
Our duty-free operation period at Georgia's Kutaisi Airport has been renewed for 7 years. In addition to the 148 square meter duty free store we have been operating at Kutaisi Airport since 2013, we will expand our operation by opening a new 420 square meter duty free store with the concept of 'walkthrough'.
Our Riga Operation Organized an Outdoor Event
Our Riga operation organized a summer party with the participation of its teams. Organized to celebrate the busy season and relieve stress, the summer party was held with a special concept that includes all the colors unique to Italy. The event was hosted by Italian singer and television presenter Roberto Meloni, who lives in Latvia. Riga employees competed to win in individual and team activities, with competitions such as singing and pizza making.
Our New Pop Up Store Opened at Istanbul Airport
Our new pop-up store, which includes many brands such as Calvin Klein, Piquadro, and Tommy Hilfiger, opened in the zone 4 area of Istanbul Airport and started to welcome its guests. Accessories such as clothes, bags, shoes, wallets and hats will be sold in our new store mainly.
We Opened Our Sweet & Regionals Store in Riga
We opened our new store ‘Sweets & Regionals’ with a special concept, featuring chocolate and sweets at Riga Airport. The opening cocktail of the Sweet & Regionals store, where Latvian local delicacies, chocolate and sweets, souvenirs and toy products are offered; TAV Airports CEO Serkan Kaptan, ATU General Manager Ersan Arcan, Riga Ambassador Gülsun Erkul, RIX Board Member Artūrs Saveļjevs and ATU Riga Operations Director Tamer Ciğeroğlu attended the ceremony. While the show of sand art performance exhibited in the ceremony was greeted with interest, the guests visited the store after the ribbon cutting. The Sweet & Regionals store is located on a total area of 219 square meters at the departure terminal E of Riga Airport. The third largest store of ATU Riga operation, Sweet & Regionals, the light interior of the store, created with refined design details, offers passengers a pleasant shopping experience.
We took our place in Riga Aviation Forum
Europe and Latvia aviation industry meets in Riga Aviation Forum and it was held this year with the main theme of geopolitical challenges in the region, solution scenarios and the future of aviation.

In the forum opened by Latvian Minister of Transport Tālis Linkaits, TAV CEO & ACI Europe Board Member Serkan Kaptan, IATA Area Manager for the Nordic and Baltic Region Catrin Mattsson, Riga Airport CEO Laila Odiņa and leading representatives of the European and Latvian aviation industry attended; ATU CEO Ersan Arcan attended as speaker. Arcan gave information about pandemic period and rapid recovery of ATU, Riga operation, changing new customer experience and turning challenges into earnings/opportunities.
