Our Macedonia operation participated in the WizzAir Skopje Marathon

Every year, the Skopje Marathon welcomes thousands of running enthusiasts from all over the world, and this year we took part with nine runners from ATU Macedonia. Eight of our colleagues participated in the event, eight of them in the 5 km and one in the 21 km half marathon, and successfully completed the run on behalf of ATU.
We were awarded the GreenStars certificate for our sustainability efforts

As part of ATU's sustainability efforts, we were awarded the GreenStars certification following joint audits by Yıldız Technical University and TÜV Austria. At the ceremony, Yıldız Technical University Rector Dr.Tamer Yılmaz presented our CEO Ersan Arcan with the GreenStars certificate. With the GreenStars certificate, we became one of the first nine companies in Turkey to receive this award.
Our renewed Fashion and Accessories store is opened at Riga Airport

Our CEO Ersan Arcan, Riga International Airport Director of Commercial Department, Vaiva Kirvelaite and ATU Latvia Operations Director Tamer Ciğeroğlu attended the opening of the store, where different product categories ranging from watches and sunglasses to bags, clothes and accessories are presented in three separate concept sections. Following the opening speeches, the ribbon cutting took place. The first section of our Fashion and Accessories store, located on the departure floor of Riga Airport, Block F, 2nd floor on an area of 57 square meters, includes watch collections of brands such as Tissot, Fossil, Emporio Armani, Tommy Hilfiger and sunglasses of Burberry, Prada, Dolce Gabanna, Ray Ban, Versace, Gucci, while the second section includes a travel shop consisting of bags and clothing products of brands such as Samsonite, Piquadro, Rains. The Furla store is located in the third section.


As ATU Duty Free, we continue our projects to protect the future of our world and ecological balance

We donated one thousand saplings on behalf of all our colleagues and donated saplings to Sivas Çevrecik Memorial Forest within the framework of our cooperation with TEMA Foundation.


Sweet surprises have reached our colleagues working in our Vadistanbul offices

Our colleagues took a sweet break from work with profiteroles in our Vadistanbul offices.


We competed in the Decathlon Corporate Basketball league

We took part in the Decathlon Corporate Basketball Tournament with our basketball teams. We participated in the tournament with our two teams named ATU Duty Free 1 and ATU Duty Free 2, and a total of 40 teams were included. In the tournament held at ITU Maslak Campus, our teams left their groups and took part in the elimination rounds.


ATU Duty Free took part in Riga Aviation Forum

The Riga Aviation Forum (RAF) was organized for the 5th time this year under the theme 'Future of Aviation: Innovation and Cooperation'. TAV CEO&ACI Europe Board Member Serkan Kaptan and our CEO Ersan Arcan took part in the RAF, which took place on September 14-15 and brought together the aviation leaders of ACI Europe, IATA, Eurocontrol and the Baltic region. Speaking on the topic of innovation in travel retail, Mr. Arcan informed the participants about the industry trends for the new era, developments in sustainability, technology and innovation, and innovative practices at ATU Duty Free.


Awards were presented to our colleagues who made the highest sales in Gazipaşa

Murat Aksoy, Ezgi Eren, Barış Sayın and Sibel Yiğit, who made the highest sales in our Gazipaşa operation between June and July, were presented their awards by our operation managers.


Our Ankara operation organized a nature trip to Amasra

As part of Happy Day activities, our Ankara operation employees spent a pleasant day with a nature trip to Amasra. After the trip, the Ankara team went on a boat tour and enjoyed the nature accompanied by music until sunset.
Our Gazipaşa operation came together at Dim Stream

Our Gazipaşa operation came together at Dim Stream on August 22-24 as part of Happy Day events. Gazipaşa team had a pleasant time with a lunch and relieved stress.
Our Izmir operation met at outdoor events at Veranda Alaçatı

Our Izmir operation took a pleasant break from the busy season with open-air events organized at Veranda Alaçatı. Organized on two different days within the scope of Happy Day events, the nights were attended by our employees and executives in the operation.
Our Riga operation visited the Children's Hospital

Our Riga team made a upbuoyance visit to the hospital where children of different age groups were admitted and gave gifts to the children and played games with them. At the end of the visit, the children presented thank you cards and their drawings to our employees and enjoyed this happy day.

On August 13th, on the occasion of National Women's Day, all female employees in our Tunisia operation were presented with gifts and flowers..

Salalah operation receives a certificate of appreciation from Oman Airport

Our Salalah operation received a certificate of appreciation from Oman Airport for its successful performance in customer satisfaction. Zakaria Yaqoob Al Harrasi, Vice President of Oman Airport - Salalah, presented the certificate of appreciation based on the positive feedback received from passengers as part of the 'Airport Service Quality Survey' (ASQ Survey) conducted by Oman Airport. The certificate was presented to Chayma Abidi, a colleague from our Salalah team who stood out with her success, in a ceremony accompanied by ATU Executives.

We brought our Luxury Square and Old Bazaar brands to Dalaman Airport

We opened our Luxury Square, Luxury Eyewear pop-up and Old Bazaar stores located on the departure floor of Dalaman Airport International Terminal with an opening ceremony. Following the opening speeches of Dalaman Airport Border Local Administrator Hayrettin Balcıoğlu, our General Manager Ersan Arcan, YDA Operations and Revenue Director Orçun Songur and Unifree Duty Free Executive Board Member Sağnak Binzet, the ribbon was cut. The opening ceremony was also attended by Western Mediterranean Customs Regional Director Kadri Karakuş, Dalaman Customs Manager İbrahim Yücel, General Directorate Of State Airports Authority Dalaman Airport Head Manager Özay Güçlü and our excutives Ali Öztekin, Zeynep Kaptan, Pınar Şener Harput, Anıl Aktaş, Güliz Haymanalı,Mesut Akbaş, Özlem Açıkgöz, Director Berk Sancar.

Our Izmir employees were welcomed with a pleasant and refreshing surprise and enjoyed this pleasant surprise on hot summer days.
The best sales performers in 'Boutiques and Old Bazaar' in Istanbul received awards and certificates of appreciation

Awards and certificates of appreciation were presented to the best in sales performance of the Boutiques and Old Bazaar teams in our Istanbul operation. In this context, awards and certificates of appreciation were given to Tatiana Sysolyatina, Doruk Berk Odabaş and Sezer Kaya, who achieved the highest sales in our boutiques at Istanbul Airport in 2022, and to Sezer Kaplan, Fidan Özmen and Eda Tetik, who contributed the most to sales at the Old Bazaar in the same year.
We won Great Place to Work certificate once again

We received the "Great Place to Work" (GPTW) certification this year as well by meeting the workplace criteria with a high trust culture as a result of ATU employees’ evaluations in the employee experience survey organized by the Great Place to Work Institute, a global and independent authority on corporate culture. We are happy to receive the GPTW certification again as the last year.
