Can you introduce yourself? What is your name and surname?

Hello, I'm Mert Sivri. I was born in Ankara. I have a 9-year-old daughter named Duru, whom I love very much. I am in my 17th year at ATU. I have been scuba diving for 28 years and I am a diving instructor.

What is your role at ATU Duty Free and what do you do in this role?

I am a Team Leader in ATU Dalaman operation. I work in Luxury Square, Luxury Eyewear and Old Bazaar stores.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I would like to live in a small Aegean town. The reason is that I lived in Ankara for many years and I miss the sea very much.

Is there a characteristic you would like to change about yourself? Why?

I would like to change the way I always postpone my dreams.

What is your favorite feature of yourself that you are most proud of?

I am very attached to my job and the people I love.

What is your greatest fear in life?

Everything one fears happens. I have experienced this a lot. I'm not afraid of anything anymore.

Is there a talent you wish you had?

I wish I could play darbuka.

Who is your favorite historical hero, from the past or present?

Of course Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

What qualities do you most value in a friend?

Loyal, intelligent, funny and a good listener.

My luck.

What is your favorite activity to do in your free time?

Diving.

What is your biggest regret in life?

Not being an underwater archaeologist.

Can you share with us the place and time where you felt the happiest?

Return to the harbor on the boat deck after a nice dive with friends.

Do you have a slogan or motto that has motivated you throughout your life?

Everybody dies, but not everybody lives.
