ATU Duty Free became the first company in the tourism sector to receive the Equal Women at Work Certificatet

As a result of independent audits conducted in cooperation with the Sustainability Academy and Intertek, we were awarded this prestigious certificate, which is given to organizations that provide equal opportunities for women in business life and take concrete steps towards gender equality. We received our certificate at a ceremony attended by ATU CBSO and Executive Committee Member Pınar Şener Harput, VP of Marketing and Corporate Communications Zeynep Kaptan, Management Systems and Sustainability Director Murat Şen, and representatives from the Sustainability Academy and Intertek Türkiye.
Turnover success from our Gazipaşa operation

Gazipaşa operation achieved its highest turnover success to date on October 4th. Our operation celebrated this success by cutting a cake.
Our Izmir operation organized an outdoor event

Our Izmir operation came together at an outdoor event held at Ocaso Yalı on September 11th and 25th. The event was organized with the motto Cheers To The Season and Izmir teams had a pleasant time with music and treats. Our colleagues and executives in the operation also attended the events.
We took our place at ‘the Retail Industry Leaders-SAP Special Event’t

Our Chief Strategy Officer (Strategy and Business Development) Ahmet Kötehne, participated as a speaker in the event attended by representatives from leading companies in the retail industry in Türkiye. Ahmet Kötehne, who spoke on the topic of 24x7 Retailing and Uninterrupted Retail Operations in High Regulation at the SAP special event where SAP and industry leaders shared their successful digital transformation stories, shared information about ATU’s new period digital transformation roadmap, technology development plans and the contributions of UDF, the artificial intelligence supported demand forecasting tool of SAP CAR system, to our business processes.

We won a bronze award for our Tip Story Micro-Learning Project at the Stevie Awards for Great Employers

As part of our innovative practices in human resources, our project developed using the Tip Story micro-learning technology to enhance the product knowledge of our employees in Old Bazaar stores has won the Bronze award in the “Achievement in Learning Technology Implementation” category at the Stevie Awards for Great Employers. The Stevie Awards for Great Employers program identifies the best in the sector with new applications and tools in human resources each year, shaping trends in the HR field.
One more award for our Tip Story Micro-Learning project from Brandon!

We won the Bronze award in the “Best Learning in the Flow of Work” category at the Brandon Hall HCM Excellence Awards with our Tip Story Micro-Learning Project, which we use to support the product knowledge development of our employees in our Old Bazaar stores. The Brandon Hall Excellence Awards is an award program which encourages innovative approaches in the industry by rewarding projects and practices that demonstrate excellence in areas such as human resources, training and development, and talent management.
Our Bodrum operation organized a summer party

Our Bodrum operation organized a summer party with the participation of all its employees as part of Happy Day activities. During the events held at the ‘For Friends’ venue in Bodrum on August 12-14, all our employees enjoyed karaoke accompanied by a live orchestra.


Ashura was distributed specially for the month of Muharram

We distributed ashoura to our employees at HQ, Ankara,Bodrum, Izmir and Gazipaşa operations for the month of muharram.


Our Riga operation came together at a white concept picnic as part of summer activities

Latvia White Picnic Summer Party, which was attended by all employees wearing white clothes, was enlivened with fun activities, DJ performances and dances. The Riga teams, having a great time, enjoyed the day in the Esena gardens until the evening hours.


We have launched our new Order&Collect service in Riga

As ATU Duty Free, we have expanded Order&Collect, one of our pre-order services developed and expanded to offer better service to our customers, to Riga from our international operations. With Order&Collect, our customers at Riga Airport can place online orders at least 24 hours before their flight, pay at the airport, and quickly receive their products before their flight in the store. Additionally, for customers who want to pick up their products from a convenient location near their homes upon return from their travels, they are offered the option to securely collect their purchases from the Omniva parcel machines of their choice for up to one week.


We experienced the excitement of FIA World Rally Championship 2024 (WRC) in Riga

Our pilot, Kerem Kazaz, supported by ATU Duty Free and TAV Airports, made an incredible WRC debut, and secured an impressive second place in WRC3 category in Latvia. With our collaboration in the World Rally Championship, we brought the thrill of the competition to our store, showcasing a real rally car in our promo zone throughout the championship.


We were awarded ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Certification

As a result of the audits carried out by TÜV Rheinland Türkiye, an international provider of industrial audit and certification services, we were awarded the ISO 27001:2013 ISMS certification for the project carried out by ATU Duty Free within the scope of management systems. With the project, a detailed process management was carried out to complete the information security infrastructure and documentation steps throughout the headquarters and all domestic operations. Our certificate was presented at a ceremony. The ceremony was attended by ATU Chief Business Support Officer Pınar Şener Harput, Management Systems and Sustainability Director Murat Şen, Information Systems Coordinator Caner Atasoy, and our colleagues who took part in the project.
Orientation trainings were held in our new Kazakhstan operation

Orientation trainings were organized with the participation of our new colleagues who will start working in our Kazakhstan operation. The trainings, which took place at Almaty Novotel between July 9-13, were given by our internal instructors from Türkiye.
